What animal issues most interest you? (e.g., factory farms, spay and neuter programs, endangered wildlife, feral cats, etc)?

I do TNR for several feral cat colonies in Tampa so I am very involved with TNR and would like to see more counties develop and promote TNR programs to reduce euthanasia of feral cats in shelters and prevent more homeless cats from being born. I also would like to help educate more people - fellow animal lovers - about the cruelty ....torture....that is factory farming so we can eventually put the factory farmers out of business and put an end to the horror those poor animals suffer. I want to see backyard breeders outlawed. I think we need to require all breeders of cats and dogs to have a license to breed - and make those license requirements very strict and make them pay for that license annually. I think it would be beneficial to require the puppies and kittens produced by the licensed breeders to have a microchip with the breeder's license number so that they are held accountable for the dogs and cats they produce and sell that end up back at the shelter.

Do you currently follow a vegan or vegetarian diet? Interested in learning more about such diets generally?

Vegetarian and nearly vegan. Cheese is the only thing I have struggled with giving up, and mainly because I don't have time to cook as much as I'd like, and a lot of the vegetarian meals at the stores have some sort of cheese in them.

Are you interested in volunteering to help animals?

YES :)

Do you want to know about our dinners, speaker events, demonstrations, etc? Tell us how you would like to get involved.

I would love to continue to learn more about the plight of all animals, and would be interested in helping them in any way possible.

Introduction
