3.5 D&D Campaign - "Shadow Over Volfsten"

Shadows of a distant past, legends from a time forgotten, heroes from a barren realm…

"A shadow has fallen over the wintry kingdom of Volfsten. As the realm struggles to deal with a relentless and seemingly indomitable enemy, several adventurers will shed their humble beginnings to take up the mantle of valor. Destiny beckons this young and able contingent of champions, but the forces of evil are hard at work to undo their efforts…"

This event will be held in the game room at Gryphon's Games & Comics (2020 S. College Ave, Unit B, Fort Collins, CO  80525) from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Bring a character for this event, or pre-generated characters can be provided for those that need them. For more information on character creation, see below.

We will be charging $2 per head per event for DM store credit.

New to 3.5 edition Dungeons & Dragons (or D&D in general)? Pick up a Player's Handbook to familiarize yourself, then pick an event and jump in! The best way to learn is by playing!

Please have a character made in advance. Before creating a character, be sure to visit the Obsidian Portal page for this campaign: This site contains detailed information specific to this campaign, including campaign setting and common knowledge for characters. It is suggested that you review the Adventure Log, Wiki, and Map tabs for information.

Please send your character concept to Dungeon Master John in a message, as there may be some campaign restrictions on races, classes, or special abilities.

If you have any questions regarding this meetup, the campaign, character creation, or anything else, send Dungeon Master John a message or simply post in the conversation section at the bottom of this page.

Suggested Materials:

3.5 edition Dungeons & Dragons "Player's Handbook", set of dice, any campaign notes, notebook/paper, pen/pencil, a miniature (or other marker), and a set of dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and %d).

I don't know if you all will get this message in time, but hopefully you will.

I got called in to work today, and I don't get off until 9:00 pm. So, it's quite possible I won't be able to get to D&D until 9:15. However, I am trying to get switched with a co-worker so that I can get off by 8:00 and be at D&D by 8:15. Sorry, this just happened last minute. Either way, I'm going to show up, I'll just be late. If I get there and nobody else is there, I'll just go home and it'll be same time next week. But - if you can stick around for a little bit - we will just start late.

Tonight's session should be pretty short anyway, so if I get there by 9:15, we should still be able to finish (or at least get pretty close).

Sorry this happened. Next week as normal. I'm going to make a facebook group so that we can stay connected.

If everyone can try to be there by 7:30, that'd be great. But I know that everyone might not get this message, so if we're still waiting on people when 7:30 rolls around, we'll just wait. At the latest, everything will start promptly at 8:00 - whether we're waiting on people or not.

Just so you all know, I've RSVP'd some of you because I don't want your spots taken. If you can't come, there is a way to un-RSVP. Just a safety - net.
