We had an event here back in Oct. '08 for the 10 cent sammies! Place was a absolute madhouse and few were able to get the deal. So, let's go on a Saturday and meet before noon so the lines shouldn't be very bad. There is some free parking in there lot if you are lucky, but there's plenty of metered parking and parking lots around.

Sammies are about $5.55, coffee in house is STILL $.09! Their prices on Beef stew and soups are a bargain as well.

I haven't eaten here in several years, so it's time we revisit this placeas it is over 100 years and while the owner recently died and the place was closed down for a few days, it has reopened and ready for our business.

OPTIONAL: After lunch, we will take a short walk around Chinatown in about a 1 mile loop and we can look around as a group. This will give me a chance to survey the restaurants that we haven't visited for future events. Check out the live poultry and seafood shops, dim sum, pho, takeout and delis. You should be able to find metered street parking a few blocks away, so wear walking shoes.
