All About Herb Infused Vinegars - Learn, Forage, Create!

Details
Looking to incorporate nourishing wild foods into your daily life? Ready to take another step towards allowing food to be your medicine? Come learn about herb infused vinegars in a fun, interactive class taught by Cathy Cagle.
Herb infused vinegars are easy to make and use and tasty too! Traditional raw unpasturized apple cider vinegar is a mild acid which, over a short period of time, will extract many of the healing qualities from the herbs as well as trace vitamins and minerals.
We'll learn what happens when you put fresh plant material into raw apple cider vinegar why the end product is so good for you and talk about some of the many options for plants to use. We'll forage for raw herbs to use, chop and blend with vinegar, and send you home with your own bottle of herbs infusing in vinegar, ready for straining and use in 30 days.
Everyone should bring a clean, sterilized 8 oz glass jar with tightly fitting lid to carry your infusing vinegar home. It would be helpful if you could bring a cutting board and knife for chopping herbs. We'll provide the organic raw apple cider vinegar.
Cathy Cagle, the class instructor, will bring samples of some of the herbal vinegars her family regularly uses and enjoys.
- Please consider bringing a dish to share with others - we traditionally have a potluck following class. We'll provide plates, napkins, forks and cups.
