Sunday September 15 - Wild Edible Walk - River and Stream Foraging.
At this time of the year, if you want to find a lot of wild edibles you need to find shade and water.
During this class, we'll go to a new location where there is a water stream and see what we can find. It's also a shaded area with cooler temperature.
I expect to find nettles, watercress, curly dock and more. So bring a bag and join us. As usual, bring sun protection and water!
I'll also show you some interesting culinary uses for the super abundant California Buckwheat.
After the class, we'll sample some white sage tea and/or some homemade beer with wild aromatic plants.
There is a liqueur store and a large parking lot. We can park there. As a courtesy, it would be good if you purchase your water there.
Wheatland avenue - 10266 Foothill Boulevard , Sylmar, CA
We park in the large parking lot where the liqueur store is located.
