November Meetup: Clickstream Data Monetization using Datameer

We are proud to announce that Erik Halseth will be our guest speaker this month. He will be speaking on, "Clickstream Data Monetization using Datameer".

Topic Description:

Businesses with e-commerce platforms are sitting on a wealth of generated clickstream data among a myriad of users. When the data grows to a large scale, the ultimate challenge is how to provide big data analytics to quickly monetize. This talk will demonstrate how you can leverage the entire end-to-end analytics process natively on Hadoop using Datameer to closely examine clickstream data, customer master data, and other data sources for customer analytics. Such insights can lead to data monetization via a revenue increase per customer or a customer acquisition cost decrease.

Speaker background:

Erik Halseth is a Solutions Engineer for Datameer where he guides customers and their analytics needs across a full end-to-end analytics application on Hadoop systems. He previously served at other various analytics startups where he focused on providing proof-of-concepts around big data advanced analytics and machine learning applications for customers, and spent time in consulting. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Virginia and a Masters of Science in Operations Research at George Mason University.
