Why do you think you would be a good photographer at FotoFly?

I think that my love for photography and interest in learning everything I can would make me an excellent employee. I also love the opportunity to get to work closely with customers and form lasting relationships with them, and what better way to do that than capture wonderful memories for them? I'm hard working, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly and-most importantly- I know how to work on a deadline. At first, my people skills seem a little lacking, but once I'm given a chance to warm up, I am an attentive person who is able to remember details about customers that make them feel special and valued, not just another face.

What jobs have you done in the past?

I worked for two years on a dairy farm taking care of calves and milking the adult cows. In this job I was rarely supervised so it taught me to be self-motivaed and responsible. It also taught me that it's ok to ask questions if you're unsure of something, but I'm also able to work out most problems on my own. For over a year, I have worked for Cafe Zupas, starting out as a basic line serving, and recently being promoted to catering driver. Zupas is a very fast-paced environment. It has taught me the value of a few moments. Everything I do revolves around a delivery schedule and meeting deadlines, and there is little room for error and no room for shilly-shallying. I asked to be transferred to catering in order to work on my customer interaction skills and I have learned how to get to know a customer and remember things about their lives. I love getting to spend time with a client to get to know them, rather than having them shoved past me in a matter of minutes.

What days and hours are you available to work?

Though I prefer to work daytime hours M-F, I understand that this job will require me to work some evenings and possibly weekends. This is something I am willing to do so I can learn more about photography and have a rewarding career doing something I enjoy.

How much are you wanting to be paid for this job?

For forty hours a week I need to make about $10.50 an hour, though I would never say no to more!

I love reading, watching movies, and spending time with my husband. I've been an amateur photographer and graphic designer for about three years now, mostly doing senior portraits and graduation announcements for friends and relatives.
