Got milk? Got a herd of water buffalo? Then you got cheese ... mozzarella in fact! Special destination + fabulous friends = recipe for a tribute to motorcycle travel and a unique culinary experience.
Inspired by Italian mozzarella di bufala, Craig Ramini uses his 100% water buffalo milk to produce handcrafted cheese in small batches. The (private) Ramini farm in Tomales, Calif. will be our club's destination for a farm tour and cheese making demo, and picnic!
Got family? They can attend, too!
FREE to all is enjoying a picnic lunch on the property, taking in the charming scenery, and visiting the buffalo (yes, you can pet the calves!) and other animals on the farm. The cheese shop will be open, too.
COST for the tour and cheese making demo and tasting is $20 each person, payable to Craig at 12:30 p.m. Our private event will begin at 1:00 p.m. and last 45-60 mins.
So ... you have a choice ... ride + picnic, or ride + picnic + tour. We anticipate that some folks will ride to Tomales, picnic, and then head off early, on their own.
