Hello Fellow Dog Walkers,
It's been a wonderful first 6 months of walks in 2012! We've met so many fun & interesting people & dogs in our 24 walks so far this year. Watching Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, walk with packs of dogs looked like so much fun it made us want to try it ourselves and the dog walking club has allowed us to expirience how dogs and owners help each other on pack walks. It really is as much fun as it looks on TV!! We've had no incidents of agression, no dog has run away even on the off leash walks, and some of our more shy dogs have become much more social. Thank you to all who have attended and become part of our pack!! We look forward to many more walks that hold new friends furry & human.
For the next year I will be working in Bloomington, Illinois Monday through Friday and coming home for weekends. In my abscense Cathy Woelfle & Nancy Moss have agreed to lead some walks that are currenlty scheduled on Tuesdays. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO LEAD A ONE HOUR WALK ON A TUESDAY AT 7 PM TO KEEP THE CLUB GOING DURING THE WEEK PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Leading a walk involves having a map or route planned for a 1.5 to 1.8 mile walk (there are many that are already planned if you don't have a route in mind), arriving 10 minutes early, and greeting all people who get out of cars with dogs.
