Welcome to a different but familiar Group.

Greetings! 

We are the Frederick  Boomies.  Our members are 40 years old and older who enjoy participating in a variety of group events and activities while meeting other fun loving people and making lasting friendships.

Frederick Boomies Meet Ups provide  a safe, friendly and fun environment  for individual mature adults to  make new connections with others  who are the same age and don't like going places alone.

Some of our activities have included  :

photo shoots

dances

outdoor activities

happy hours

darts and pool meet ups

dining out

examining organic options to our diet

Movies, etc., etc, etc.......Whatever you want to do.

This group is for the adventurous who are willing to think outside the box. The Organizers envision this as a group that goes beyond the stereotype mentality of what a Boomer is and focuses on those who choose to live in the moment and enjoy trying new things.  With this in mind, fresh and different ideas are considered and members are encouraged to be actively involved.   Members and the experience, skills, talents and interests they share with the group, will provide our success.

Members who have an idea for an activity or event and want to lead it (as long as it’s not illegal or immoral) can post it.  If a member has an idea for an event and wants help leading it all they need to do is let the Organizers know.    Please also contact us if you have questions or would like to make a suggestion. Once you post your idea or event, if three people say yes to attending, you have yourself an official meet up. We honestly will appreciate hearing from you and will consider all appropriate ideas.  

Our group may be familiar to you as we were formerly the Frederick Single Senior Moments Meet Up.  However, as a result of some comments we have received, we decided to make a few changes. One of our biggest changes was to open the membership so that it is now for adults 40 years old and older.   As a result we changed our name to Frederick Single Boomies.

Our mission is to make new friends and go places and do things with other like minded individuals. We like to laugh and think there is too much seriousness and not enough freedom of thought in today's world.

We don't care about your political beliefs, don't care what your faith is or what your relationship status is. This group combines years of living so that we can share our stories, listen to ideas and just hang out and enjoy life. Most of us interact on Face Book and see this group as a true Face Time experience.

Boomies are adventurous and not afraid to think outside the box. Boomies as a group,  go beyond the stereotype mentality of what a Boomer is and focuses on those who choose to live life in the moment and enjoy trying new things. Boomies love people just as they are.
