A Homebrew Pathinder Game run by Michael DiFranco. We plan to play twice a month.
After surviving the shipwreck and escaping the slavers the party, with the help of an old man they had rescued, make their way to an abandoned temple to get out of the storm. The party searches the temple in vain, hoping to find some scraps left behind by pirates that had been going of the island for decades.
They are rewarded when they disturb two ghastly undead hiding in the churches kitchen chimney. When three party member go down to paralysis in the initial attack, things look bleak. After the scare, however, they party is ultimately victorious.
In the main chapel, where they decide to set up camp, they hear a strange buzzing coming from the altar set at the feet of a statue of the goddess Sirona. After examining the alter, they find a secret latch that allows them to move the top slab, revealing a compart inside that contained some strange device that seemed both magical and mechanical. They make notes and take what appears to be a key component, a control crystal, for later study.
They rest then head to the main villa where the old man says he can lead them to the Sea King's treasure and cryptically remarks about a balloon or a ship. They get to the villa and find that it is being contested over by orc pirates on one side and drack pirates on the other.
There are a few run ins with both sides, but they are able to avoid conflict with the main bodies. A hurried search of the areas they pass turn up a few baubles and a prisoner. They interrogate the orc and even though he seems well spoken for a supposed brute, he knows nothing and is eliminated.
