Patriotic ceremonies include Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns (http://gosoutheast.about.com/od/toursattractions/ss/arlington_5.htm), followed by a remembrance program, hosted by the Department of Defense, in the Memorial Amphitheater (http://gosoutheast.about.com/od/toursattractions/ss/arlington_4.htm). A prelude concert, performed by the U.S. Army Band will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Free parking will be available in the Visitor's Center parking area from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. with free shuttle transportation between the Visitors Center and the amphitheater. Overflow parking and free shuttle service will be available at the Navy Annex parking lot, located on Southgate Road. Walking to the amphitheater is prohibited. In addition, Metrorail will be operating on a Sunday schedule, so attendees may ride the Blue Line to the Arlington Cemetery Station (http://www.wmata.com/).
The wreath-laying ceremony is limited to standing room only. Amphitheater seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. While the amphitheater can accommodate 5,500 people, attendees are encouraged to be at the Tomb of the Unknowns or seated in the amphitheater by 9:30 a.m. Attendees will be required to pass through a security checkpoint to gain access to the ceremony. http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/5/5/2/event_106881842.jpeg
