This group is dedicated to my daughter in her pursuit of creating a safe place where everyone can feel free to be themselves. At the core of the activities, she wants to join forces with other young people and their parents who are interested in the stand against bullying. Just because someone doesn't fit a certain description set forth by that community (schools, neighborhoods, organizations) does not make them any less awesome than the next person.
Any family is welcome to join & diversity is celebrated, as it is in our neighborhoods. Membership is open to families, kids, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, sisters, brothers, and even volunteers from organizations like big brothers and big sisters. We are open to suggestions for activities. Some of the things my daughter is interested in includes visiting state parks, hiking, biking, swimming, board games, Six Flags, eating out, festivals, carnivals, arcades, roller skating, ice cream in the summer, hot chocolate in the winter, playing sports, attending live sporting events, fishing, crabbing, rock climbing, movies, theater, horseback riding, dancing, gardening, moon bounces, and more. Activities will be planned based on member's ages and interests.
A little about me...I was born and raised in Baltimore and am currently an organizer with the Baltimore Salsa Meetup group with a lifetime of experiences coordinating fun activities for people of all ages.
As soon as we have 10 members, we will coordinate our first meetup. Thanks for stopping by. We'll hope you'll stay a little while.
