Propaganda at Panera

Details
Propaganda is defined as information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.
I want each member attending to identify at least one instance of propaganda they have knowingly observed at some point in her or his life. I want you to describe what you perceive to be the end goal of the propaganda and determine how it affected you. What was the purpose of the propaganda? Was it to help, harm, or both? What was the target audience? From where did the propaganda originate, family, friends, news media, internet, government, educational institution? How did it make you feel, and why did it make you feel that way?
As a second assignment, if you had to write a propaganda campaign, how would you do it? What would be your target group, person, movement, institution, etc.? Would you be for it or against it? What ideas would you spread? Would you be direct or subtle, and why? What would be your end goal?
The purpose of these assignments is to get you more aware of the propaganda all around you. By trying to create your own propaganda campaign, you get a sense for how others are created against you.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
