Hi Kendal,  I wanted to send this info to all in the Freethought organization but realized I didn't know how to do that. If you think it worthwhile, please send it to all.   The latest Newsweek, Dec. 26, 2011, has two relevant articles to us: 1.  About Christopher Hitchens; How Hitchens said goodbye (p. 6-8), which is very well done.  2.  The God particle (the Higgs Boson).  In the latter, 3 people are asked: "What's so heavenly about the God particle?"  Reverend Brown, Church of England, says its God's design to make humans intelligent enough to explore physics.  Prof. of Religion Elaine Pagels, Princeton, its the God particle because everything depends on it and you cannot prove it exists.  Evolutionary biologist and atheist, Richard Dawkins, says, Why are you looking for people outside physics?  Why would a theologian have anything to contribute to any worthwhile discussion, on any subject whatsoever?   Don't you just love Dawkin's comment?  And to think two atheists got mentioned in Newsweek!  Progress!   Roy
