Bienvenue à tous! Here's what we're about:

This is a book/film club, not a conversation group. The discussion will be about the book/film, nothing else. If that makes sense to you, please consider joining us.

There are only two rules. 1) Read the book if we're discussing a book. 2) Watch the film if we're discussing the film. If your French is good enough to do those things, then you are welcome to join.

The priority of this club is discussing works of literature and cinema that we find exciting in order to gain some deeper understanding. 100% of the discussion is in French, as we will be considering French works. There is usually a mix of native French speakers and non-native speakers who feel comfortable expressing their thoughts in French. This is not an appropriate group for someone who just wants to practice French; there will be no hand-holding of any kind. I feel compelled to make this clear because every once in a while someone comes expecting to make nice small talk and leaves disappointed.

I choose what we read/watch. But I always ask for suggestions for future meetups.

A très vite, j'espère!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
