What is your motivation for learning French?

My motivation these days is that I never use my French at a high level. If you don't use it, you lose it. It been 18 years since I've lived in France and 15 years since finishing my Masters in French. While I work with beginning students and singers on their French, I rarely have the chance to converse with fluent French speakers. I'm hoping to regain some lost fluency that has arisen after years of non-use in the conversational sense.

What is your level?

Advanced level (formerly I would have said fluent but I'm finding words fail me at time these days).

I studied at a music conservatory in Strasbourg, France where I resided briefly, and hold Masters' degrees in French Literature and in Vocal Pedagogy. Today, I work with classical singers in the area of French diction and the French vocal repertoire.
