EXPLORING SCALE

How do size constraints impact the subjects of our drawings? How does scale shape our ideas? How must our strategy for mark making adjust to accommodate a change in size? We will investigate these questions and play with scale in our drawings.

Draw@MOCA is a series of Saturday afternoon drawing workshops led by artist Angus Galloway. A different guest artist will be selected by and work with Angus for each workshop. Read details below about upcoming classes!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Fun! Each workshop is unique, focusing on a different drawing technique inspired by the exhibitions at MOCA GA. When you arrive, you will fill out a quick sign-in form and pay your fee (if you haven't already paid). Angus will introduce the topic and guide everyone through a short lesson about the technique and theme for the day. After that, the majority of the time will be spent making your own artwork! Angus and the guest instructor will work with each participant one-on-one, asking questions and demonstrating the proper technique as needed. These workshops are for the novice and the skilled artist alike. Come, experiment, and DRAW@MOCA!

COST TO PARTICIPATE

The price of each workshop includes free admission to see all current exhibitions at MOCA GA, instruction by two great Georgia artists, and all the materials needed to make and take home brand new artwork! There will also be music and snacks!
