Spring time BWCA getaway - Plain of Jars

Plain of Jars, the adventure in wilderness where it's not about what happens to you but how you adapt in face of challenge. Once again, we will trek up the frozen Cascade River and then circumnavigate around Eagle Mountain to the mystic Plain of Jars. Once refreshed, our route will take us on the backside of Eagle Mountain, through the saddle and to Whale Lake. The third day is a return day to the parking lot and possible feast on herring basket at Dock Side Fish at Grand Marais. Small Print: Subject to BWAC trip policy, pet, tobacco and Spot Device free trip. Requires snowcamping gear, metal snowshoes,trekking poles with baskets, expected temps 30-50 deg daytime and 20-30 deg F night time. Cost: Registration $25. Additional cost: Carpooling, BYFood, cost motel night at Grand Marais on Friday night, breakfast at BlueWater Cafe. We will provide map and share stove, steripen etc. You will need 2x breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 2x dinners.
