*Cancelled*Mt.Tam's Great Combination-Open Field Spring Wildflowers& Ocean Views

A North Berkeley Hills & Campus Hike has been scheduled in place of this hike.  (See Post below and Info on the N.Berkeley hike scheduled in place of this hike, March 29.)

Mt.Tam's most beautiful groups of spring wildflowers; poppies, gold fields and lupine, will line the scenic trails and serpentinite of today's hike.

At lunch we'll "dine", overlooking the Pacific, Farallons, Bolinas and Stinson Beach. Expect clear skies or fog, spectacular and dramatic views, lots of wildflowers in bloom, aerobics, as we do some steep uphills and lots of good company.

Distance for today's moderately paced hike will be about 7.75 miles.  Return time will be before 2:15pm.

Today's trails will wander among the wildflowers and out to the Coastal Trail and the scenic trails overlooking the Pacific.

Veteran hiker Jordan Herrmann will be leading the hike today.

Rain will not cancel.

Please see the, "Standard Generic Details conversation", under the, "Discussion" tab on the menu above. What to bring and all the general hiking details, etc., are listed here.

Here you will also find useful links to the Mt.Tam trailhead location maps and written driving directions. As well as links to Mt.Tam Wildflower Brochures for downloading or viewing.

There are two issues that make changing the plan for this Saturday sensible.

    1. Forecast for Saturday is; 90% chance of rain. Wind from SW, 20 mph, near the Coast.

    2. I have a sprained foot.

The prospects for the original Saturday plan are not good.

I'm going to change the venue to an Architectural Heritage Tour of some of the very interesting houses, walks and byways in the North Berkeley Hills and on to the UC Campus for a tour there. We'll walk through the Berkeley Rose Garden to see the flowers there.

The listing, meetup location/map, times and description for the date will be changed with all the information listed there. (see March 29, relisting.).

If you need to change your RSVP to No, that's understood.

All those on the wait-list are welcome to come.

If any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Jordan

PS As the saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers", I'll schedule an Ocean View and Wildflower hike, next month.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
