Lets garden and build habitat for San Francisco butterflies!

You'll meet the regular volunteers, the gardener crew from Rec & Park and hear about the work plan for the day. Since it's the dry season, we mostly pull invasive weeds to make sure our native plants can thrive. We maintain sites where we've done a lot of work. We will have some plants to put in as well. There's always a choice of how vigorously you want to work! Snacks and plenty of water are always available. We break for lunch around 1pm and usually have a guest speaker that teaches us something new about our natural habitat. If it's a sunny afternoon you will see our "clients," the butterflies who come to the hill top. We always learn something new...
