WE are a great group of single women that are near or over the age of 50.
AGE DOES NOT MATTER. SIZE and COLOR does not matter. Rich, poor or in between-doesn't matter. Friendship matters MOST!
Women are powerful. Men may rule the world but how did the rulers get here....A WOMAN!
So...let's use that positive power to come together to support our friends and sisters in our single lives. Let's have fun! Lets learn and grow together.
Many of you are single, never been married, single through widowhood and single through divorce. No matter how you landed here as as single, let's celebrate being powerful single women!
We are the designers of our single lives. We NOW own the remote. We can paint any room whatever color we want to. We can sleep until noon or drink the whole darned bottle of wine by ourselves if we so choose to!
Many of us have big jobs and lead others. Many are in transition from a job lost. Many are women that don't have to work. Some of us have children, some don't. Some of us are in a bad place after a divorce or widowhood and some are well on the path of healing. We are all women and women support each other.
If you need support and friendships this is indeed the place for you. If you are happy, healthy and whole, this too is a place for you because you can "pay it forward" and help someone that is not where you are.
This group is about having fun, making strong women friendships and about supporting each other in our lives.
If you can't count on your girlfriends, then who the heck are you going to count on!

!The Walkway" Gardening/Art Meetup Group is a group that I started to support gardeners and artist to show off their skill for the public. In 2007, I won the Golden Heart Award for Gardening for the Village of Arlington Heights for the creation of this lovely walkway. I had no idea that there was such an award or that I could win such an award. I kept the WALKWAY up for a few years until I moved to another part of Arlington. I would like to see our Gardeners and Artist of this group take over this lovely piece of sidewalk and revive it back to it's award winning beauty. LADIES, we can leave our mark with this project. This could be OUR shining star!
We will want to create a sign that says FRIENDS FIRST LADIES GROUP SUPPORTS AND CARES FOR THIS WALKWAY.
