Hi Friends,

We have all been there! Many have been married and divorced. BREAK UP!

Many have dated and broken up. BREAK UP

Some have dated just a few dates and need to know how to exit kindly and with all their body parts in tact.

Some break ups you can see them coming, some you can't.

Some of us are going to date people that we will EVENTUALLY break up with.

This workshop is designed on the WHAT, WHEN and HOW of how to break up and how to survive the break up AND to understand the reactions and possibly prevent BAD reactions to the break up!

How do you tell that person that you are seeing that it is just not what you want? It's over? WHEN do you tell them? Over dinner in a public restaurant where they can't throw a fit? Do you tell them in private?

At what stage of the relationship or dating do you broach this subject? Do you tell them BEFORE you know there is bonding and love on one party's part? Do you wait and let the other person become totally in love with you then drop the bomb?

Should you give hints and notice that this might be coming or do you just one day, out of the blue, deliver the bad news like a nuclear bomb?

WHAT and WHEN is the right time? We are going to explore this in this open discussion. There are many stances and all of us will bring much experience to the table on this. (Some of us more than others!)

Would you like to end things and still be friends with the person that you are seeing? THAT is totally possible IF you do it the right way. Anyone can understand that the relationship is not working or that maybe we are not the right people for the other person IF the subject is broached at the right time and in the right manner.

I would like any of you that have break up stories to write to me and share your story. The name can be optional but please, try to keep to the facts. Give me good examples of good break ups--they hurt but they were respectful and give me examples of JERKS GONE WILD! I want to hear it all.

We will share some of these stories and use them as examples of what and what not to do.

I look forward to working with all of you on this subject. We all have a story and we all can help educate each other on what to do and what not to do and WHAT to expect when we do the right and the wrong things.

The social starts at 4. I encourage everyone one who would like to participate to arrive no later than 4:30. Whoever would like to participate in the discussion, will gather in the private room to talk about the topic selected. The discussion can last as long as we wish but optimally 30-45 minutes would be best.

20 minutes discussion-whole group

30 minute break

20 minutes discussion-teams of 10 with a moderator

YOU DON'T HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DISCUSSION! If you are just coming to chat and socialize that is perfectly acceptable. You can hang with the friends in the lounge and visit with them while the discussion is underway.

There will be appetizer deals and drink specials each week! Just ask the wait staff.

WHY the discussion group? It seems that each Sunday Social, we always get into a discussion and people then later break apart to socialize. After discussing how enjoyable that was with a friend, he suggested to pick a topic each week and discuss it. What a great idea!

I do believe that many of you in our group are as starved for good conversation as I am! WE need peers to talk with.

So come join us for some lively conversation and great socialization!

So we all know what Sunday later in the afternoon and early evenings are like when we are single. They can be lonely and hard. So...I have the cure! No need to sit home alone on Sunday afternoon when the kids have gone back to Mom or Dad's house or you are just plain alone.

Time frame of event: 4 p.m - 8 p.m. Like many of you I have to work the next day!

I hope you will join us!
