Sanford Jazz Ensemble Tribute

Greetings Members,

If you love performing arts, we're taking our meetup to the stage at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center this Sunday @ 3:00 pm! Katha Endress, sales director for Wayne Densch sent the upcoming bulletin:

The Sanford Jazz Ensemble

BOP to POP

This musical tribute will highlight the musical genres from BOP to POP. Prepare for a wonderful afternoon of live and lively music. The Sanford Jazz Ensemble is a 20-piece Big Band dedicated to the preservation of the “Big Band Jazz Tradition.” It began in 1976 as the “Altamonte Jazz Ensemble,” which for decades, under the direction of Mike Arena, brought the gift of jazz to the Central Florida community.

Under the direction of Dave Weaver, the Sanford Jazz Ensemble has expanded its repertoire beyond traditional big band jazz to include original arrangements of classic and contemporary pop, R&B and funk tunes.

The SJE is made up solely of community musicians who donate their time and talent to perform live jazz for Central Florida audiences. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the band relies on those who enjoy the music and donate to keep the SJE “swinging.”

This program will be one day only on Sunday, March 23 at 3:00 pm in the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center. It is held in the historic 90-year old vaudeville and silent movie theater located in downtown Sanford.

Special pricing for this show is just $10 per ticket.

Theater is located at 201 S. Magnolia Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771 in the waterfront historic district.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
