The Individuals Opinion - A Photographer's view!
"A Conversation with the Artist David Durbak: The Art of Photography in a Digital Realm"

David has been doing photography for more than 25 years, following in the footsteps of his photographer, father. He is heavily influenced by his early years from values and life in the midwest.

He is a classically trained musician; an artist in both commercial and fine art projects, and enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge.

He is self-taught photographer and subsequently earned an MFA. David is among the first to add a digital workflow. His career spans architectural, editorial, fashion and food subject.

In his own words "...my outlook is as a businessman who happens to be a photographer; a business mindset does not stifle creativity, instead, it allows the freedom to pursue my art."

In addition, the "Members Showcase"
As a part of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, we provide a venue for accomplished photographers to speak about their work, philosophy, intent, and process and techniques. This opportunity educates, inspires, and presents new views and ideas for members to use in their own work. All FMoPA members are invited to attend.

The Photo League of FMoPA is open to all museum members of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. The league meets for the purpose of education, inspiration, camaraderie, and photography. Uniquely, as part of a photography museum, we endeavor to provide value to FMoPA and to grow as a community. We present professional speakers on photography, photo opportunities, and programs to improve our understanding and photographic expertise.

The Photo League of FMoPA meets twice a month - once at the museum, and again at onsite photography events, providing fellowship and shooting partnership. Please feel free to contact James O'Gara at (727) 242-5775 or james.ogara.jr@gmail.com, for more information or to be added to the mailing list.
