Mostly to get out there and see what other writers like me come up with. I hope my writing impresses someone enough to build a semi-collaborative/competitive relationship with but if not then it'd just be nice to get a feel for the community.
Short stories and playwriting by far are what I enjoy. Poetry is too subjective for me to get a handle on. I've practiced a little in comedic plays, and some varying degrees of tragic prose. The genre I'm most interested in learning right now is Lovecraft/ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's take on horror. That form of suspense really intrigues me and would help my writing greatly.
I'm an amateur writer mostly looking for a few writing buddies. I've been writing creatively for about 2 years now, and took a course over it last spring. I really enjoy the community that can form with writers and would love to build some fellowship
