For our first get together, I thought it would be great to discuss something pretty close to heart: Event Designs. I'm picturing a bit of a structured night:
6pm - 7pm I'll share some examples of an (ahem) recent local event that ran into some issues during their web design process. I, uh, know the guy that did it really well. Then, I'm hoping that we can all share some great sites, invitations, etc. that we've seen for events and drill down the items that we feel an event site should have. I'd love to use the Barcamp Tampa Bay site as an example as well :)
7pm - 8pm Let's figure out how we want to share information! I really hope that this meetup will lead to some side projects, even if they're just working on tutorials to build stuff together. So, we might want a sandbox, git repo, etc. This will be chance for all of us to figure out what this meetup will be and what we want to get out of it.
8pm - 9pm Open discussion and/or shop talk
9pm - ? Anyone interested can slide over The Bunker or a local pub to keep the good times rollin'
