Using Chrome Dev Tools & Yahoo! Cocktails, mojito and YUI

Hi everyone!

Now that we all had a proper break in December and we've all recuperated from Art Basel / Code Miami in January, the Front-End Developers of Miami MeetUp group is ready to congregate again for the month of February! This month we have two speakers!

SPEAKER #1: How to Effectively Use Dev Chrome Tools with Neeraj Singh

"In this presentation I would discuss how to use web inspector in chrome to do JavaScript debugging, performance enhancement, track memory leaks, increase user experience by monitoring frame rates. All this, using chrome dev tool!"

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Neeraj Singh is the founder of BigBinary, a Ruby on Rails consulting company. He likes to work with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Ruby Motion, jQuery, backbone.js and Ember.js . He has contributed to many open source projects including Ruby on Rails, jquery-ujs, jQuery, ActiveMerchant, nimbleShop.

SPEAKER #2: Yahoo! Cocktails, Mojito and yui with Caridy Patino

This month we've honored to have Yahoo!'s Caridy Patino to talk about some of the awesome projects that he's working on: Yahoo! Cocktails (a "JavaScript-centric presentation platform for connected devices"), Mojito (an MVC framework for mobile devices) and of course, front-end framework YUI.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Caridy Patino is a Miami-based developer at Yahoo!, working as the "Bartender" for Yahoo! Cocktails and Mojito as well as the Principal Frontend Engineer for Yahoo! Axis, Search Division.

We'll set some time before the event for networking and announcements, and there will be a Q&A for both speakers afterward.

Also, for CSS newbies: keep your eyes peeled for some announcements that you may find of interest very soon. :)

See you guys at the next MeetUp!

I couldn't get out of work on time to make this last meetup. Were Chromebooks discussed at all?

Thanks to Neeraj Singh and Caridy Patiño for the presentations, both were really interesting, I think the next step now is debug Mojito using Chrome Dev tools. Neeraj showed many tips last night I didn't know in Chrome and Caridy presented an amazing and ambitious technology, good job guys.

Will make more of a push to use Chrome Dev Tools because of the demo. Also, I will look into YUI and Mojito.

Very informative talks. Learned quite a bit and will start looking into YUI for development.
