D3 Denver Dinner Dark - Skyline at Night

Denver's night skyline is gorgeous. There are the skyscrappers, the Ferris wheel at Elitch's, Union Station, the Millenium Bridge all combined to make Denver's skyline distinctive and notable.

Let's capture it on this evening, but first let's meet for introductions and conversation at dinner. Later we will head out to capture Denver from the twilight hour to dark.

Here's the plan:

6:30 Meet at Pasquinis at the corner of 32nd and Zuni
7:30 ish drive over to the Diamond Hill area just off I-25 at Zuni and 26th (south of the Ramada Inn - IGNORE the 1st Floor on the location the system won't let me delete it!!!)

If you aren't able to join us for dinner, come by the shooting location and introduce yourself. We will be there!

IF YOU PLAN TO MEET WITH THE GROUP FOR DINNER, PLEASE INDICATE THAT WHEN YOU RSVP. THAT WAY I HAVE A COUNT! THANKS! kk

~~~~~~~~~~~
Front Range Photography is a great way to meet new people who share a passion for photography. If you can come, please RSVP. If your plans change, please take a moment to change your RSVP.
We look forward to meeting you at the Meetup, so be sure to look for us and by all means introduce yourself!
    Ralph, I agree the restaurant was not in step with what we had planned. We made the best of it and had a good time despite the lack of good service from Pasquinis. Oh well.
    Lisa, No worries! I waited down on 8th ave for awhile, but decided to head home. I was exhausted! Glad you all got together to shoot the fountain. Hope you will post some images too!
    It was fun to have so many people show up for the Meetup. I am so happy when people are networking and making plans to go on other outing together.
    Evening got off to kind of strange start. Restaurant did not really seem to know about us. Food was OK. Wait staff fair. I would not go to the restaurant again, there are too many good alternatives in the area.
    Had a nice time meeting with everyone. It's fun to see what kind of camera's & lenses folks are shooting with. Looking forward to seeing the pictures posted.
    Hey Everyone! There seems to be a little confusion on the location. We are NOT meeting at the Ramada, but using its a landmark. Go South to the Diamond Hill parking lot that is where we shall be at a out 7:30. Right now we are eating at a very busy Pasquinis on Zuni and 30th. I'll bring you all a pizza crust if there are any left.. :)
    I'll meet for photography only.. as for the weather, I've shot from there (and my house, three blocks away) about a million times.. you WANT some clouds.. unless it's fog, the skyline will be just fine.. obviously rain stinks, but if no precipitation it should be AOK.
    @Bob, here's what I have learned. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CONDITIONS ARE GOING TO BE LIKE UNTIL YOU GET THERE! It might be a total waste of your time, or it may turn out to be some of the best images your have ever taken! But 1 thing I know for sure, you won't get ANYTHING, if you do get out there and shoot!
    Hi Bob! My you are on top of the weather! Guess we need to keep an eye on it. Sometimes nasty weather makes for interesting images.
    Wunderground weather site predicting between 6pm - 12 pm
    20% percipiitation, 68% cloud cover with possible thunderstorms.
    Does anyone think with 68% cloud cover we will be able to get any decent shots? I guess the only way to know is to be there. Anybody have comments on shooting under these conditions?
    @Don, they won't let us in the park with tripods. I have tried to get us in for a special night session, and it was a no go!
    Would be cool if we could go to the top of the observation platform at Elitches.
