This time it's show & tell before San Diego Comic Con!

It’s a show & tell mixer right before San Diego Comic Con 2013!

As a response to your requests we are going to kick it off with an old style mixer with a twist. We’ve always had decent amount of you come to dinner with us afterword’s and our mixers after panels at convention have always been welcomed because of the connections everyone was able to make.

Thus for our first Meet Up we will start off with a bit of hearing from you and what you’d like to see in 2013 then dive into a mixer Full Time / Part Time Style. That means if everyone brings their own projects and resource needs given the great variety of the people who’ve come in the past you’ll almost certainly meet that hole in your resources before you leave.

Thus don’t just bring your stuff to talk about, bring stuff to show off. Bring your magazine, comic, pencils, product or whatever you’ve got to show someone else!

Also bring what you do because others may need that resource. If you do web design, illustration, editing (and the list could go on and on) come with your portfolio or website ready to show off and hopefully walk away with some new clients! It’s our hope that if we jump start the process by having you have stuff there to show people, not just meet people and talk about “it” later you can leave our meet up with some solid leads on not only the leads you came with, but solutions when you leave!

It seems like each time we have a Meet Up we have very little overlap, which is awesome because that means we meet so many new people! For this time we’d like you to come and meet all the others you haven’t in our group, grow you base and get to know the others as working together and growing your contacts is one of the vital ingredients of our Full Time Work On A Part Time Schedule group.

As it’s the Microsoft store, we’ll have Wi-Fi access so bring your laptop or tablet or whatever you need to show of your stuff (website, video, online comic, etc.) to anyone that’s interested!
Though we the planners are always available to ask anything about anything we can help at the after panel mixers or after Meet Up meetings, this is the meeting that is specifically set aside to help you with whatever we can!
