What do you hope to get out of this meet up? Would you like to discuss any specific topics?

I hope to meet other "Fibromites" and other caring family or friends of people with Fibro. in a supportive environment. I want to be able to talk about what I'm going through with others who understand where I'm coming from. I hope to learn more about how people are dealing with these common symptoms and challenges. I also want to hear about people's triumphs which I hope will inspire me and give me hope.

Will you try to come to at least one meeting a month?

Absolutely... I'm hoping to plan more than that. :o)

When are you available to come to a meeting? Where would you like to meet? Is there an area in Pasadena or Altadena that is better for you to meet at?

Weekdays are best for me, but I can come almost anytime.

Do you have Fibromyalgia or do you know someone who has it?

Yes I have it.

How long have you had Fibromyalgia and how were you diagnosed?

I have had it for 15 years and I was diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic by going through a long, long week of tests. This was after about 6 months of tests and doctors scratching their heads.. ending with one doctor calling me crazy. I finally had to leave the doctors in Florida to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Introduction

Hi! :o) Fibromyalgia has made it impossible to work outside the home. So I decided to be creative with my free time & make resin jewelry. I guess I have Fibro to thank for that & the friends I've made because of our shared fight with it.
