Guest instructor Jessica Cichra, SUP & Yoga professional of Orlando, FL returns to Ta-Hoe Nalu Paddle Festival. Last year she led Body Dialogue SUP Yoga & this year offers SUP Bala Tula - a unique SUP Yoga Fusion Practice:
Paddle to a fluid destination on beautiful Lake Tahoe, surrounded by mountains & crystal clear water where connection to your universe takes on a whole new meaning. In sanskrit, Bala Tula means Balance & Strength: Created by & unique to Wave of Wellness, this practice combines intervals of SUP, Yoga, Pilates, Budokon & body weight exercises for a fun & invigorating total body challenge!

75 min. class. Existing beginner paddleboarding skills recommended prior to taking this class as they will not be covered during class.
Please know how to swim, be ready to have fun, bring water (a Fiji water bottle works as best as it won't roll around), sunscreen, towel & wear something that can get wet. Arrive at least 5 minutes early for check in.

With a background in gymnastics & psychology, I’m drawn to activities involving movement, present awareness, & helping others lead a better quality of life, which makes wellness training a great fit for me. I have many influences and enjoy exploring a variety of adapted styles & techniques, which led to my creation of Bala Tula (http://www.waveofwellness.net/wave-of-wellness-florida-bala-tula/) (a fusion practice of yoga, Pilates, Budokon, body weight conditioning & stand up paddleboarding). I specialize in Body Dialogue yoga, alignment & core-stabilization training for functional movement & athletic performance, using these principles as a platform for all modalities of my fitness instruction. I also founded & direct paddle races, like the Annual Lake Mary Jane Paddle Race & weekly series Paddle Race Tuesdays. I have a passion for travel & lead international paddleboarding & yoga expeditions in fun & beautiful destinations. I also love to race SUPs, surf, skateboard, marvel at nature, & rock out at concerts. I am a proud ambassador for Boardworks Surf, Werner Paddles, Local Honey, Maui Jim, Performance Ski & Surf, & Paddle Faster Team Rider.
