Glow-in-the-Dark Volleyball on the Beach

Have you ever played beach volleyball at night with a glow-in-the-dark ball? My friend Jonovan has been hosting this event for the past couple of years and we've always had a great time.

Here's how to participate:

1. Buy glow-in-the-dark bracelets, sunglasses, necklaces etc. The best deals are at Target and at the 99 Cent Store. We'll use extra glow sticks to light up the volleyball net, so you can never have too much.

2. Bring Your Own Beverages: No glass bottles, please. Aluminum cans or something that can be poured into red plastic cups would be ideal.

3. Park in one of the public structures and walk down the Santa Monica pier to the steps that lead down to the North side of the beach. Then use the sidewalk - you know, the one that all the bicyclists and rollerbladers use - to get to the volleyball net closest to house #1415. Do not disturb the occupants of the house, please! They have no affiliation with us.

4. Bring a positive attitude. We are not playing competitively, just for fun. There will be a lot of goofing around with few people taking the game itself seriously.
