Let's help each other out!  We are excited to foster this community of language-loving families.

We want to share what we know about raising bilingual kids and helping families bring easy, useful language into the day-to-day routine.  

With my own kids, I found it extremely helpful (and fun!) to expose them to language at play dates with other families who shared this interest.

I found a mom whom I really enjoyed via Meetup.  She also spoke Spanish, and we would meet weekly to chat together in Spanish (great practice for us and exposure for the kids), serve the kids a snack, do a craft (in Spanish), and then allow the kids some unstructured time to play.  It was a great boost to keep me motivated, and gave me a partner on what can be a lonely language journey.  I hope you will find a partner (or many!) to join your journey, too.

Thanks to Gabi Maza who began this group, generously hosted some super events, and whose glowing smile welcomed us all. While we are making some changes (like the name and location as of Jan 2012) we hope you will continue to attend, and even suggest some events of your own.
