Comparing Haskell-do, Scala-for, and F#-LINQ
Details
One of the things that emerged during our last meetup is that all of the languages we looked at share some common language features and programming idioms which are distinctively functional in flavour. One of those is represented in Haskell by it's "do" notation, in Scala by it's "for" comprehensions and in F# by LINQ. In this meetup we'll take a look at all of these in some detail, see how deep the similarities go, and get to grips with the common abstractions which underpin them all.
BTW, sorry for the late notice for this meetup ... I think that we should settle on the topic for the one after at this one so that we can get the next meeting scheduled straight away.
