MOOCS and The Future of Elearning (part of London tech week)

As part of London Technology Week (15th to 21st June) this meetup will explore can elearning and Massive Open Online Learning Courses (MOOCs) deliver an education revolution across the Globe? We will examine digital platforms, virtual learning and the disruptive impact of new technologies on traditional education institutions with an examination of MOOCs, the emergence of learning Management Systems and the future potential of new technologies to transform education and learning

We are delighted to confirm two leading authoritative speakers in the field of UK elearning revolution:

1. For our first speaker. we welcome Alan Heppenstall. Alan is a passionate lifelong learner that cofounded Entrepreneurs Durham and went on to co-found Accredible in January 2013. He has since been a pioneering voice for the future of education technology, most recently having been invited to present at the World Academy of Art and Science’s World University Consortium and to participate in a roundtable discussion with the UK. He will be sharing his experience and knowledge about MOOCS and the drivers behind this elearning revolution .

2. We are also delighted to also confirm our second speaker Matt Walton, Head of product at Future Learn, the UK's first MOOC as our second speaker. Through the use of innovative digital technologies and a "blended offering" of online and offline learning, Matt will be sharing the product challenges of delivering Future Learn's aim of providing the best quality student experience of any of the Moocs on the planet.
