  • When to start using social media for your book;
  • How to create an author and book platform;
  • Who should be on your publishing team;
  • How to develop a team to get your book published;
  • When to incorporate research into your book;
  • How to structure your book;
  • How to get unblocked;
  • How to keep your sanity and stay in balance during the authoring tango;
  • How should you publish;
  • And so much, much more.

Are you serious about being an author? Do you know what it takes? 0r are do you view your scribes as a hobby?

Future Authors is not about learning the craft of writing--we encourage you to participate in many of the fine programs that the Lighthouse writing group does based in Denver. That's what it does. FA is about becoming an author--which means mingling with authors, learning about what they do to become successful, and stay successful, it's about learning about this thing called authoring and publishing.

It starts in the beginning. You can't start down the authoring path without understanding the financials.  Next up will be creating the Author Platform and then the Book Platform.

Dr. Judith Briles brings over 30 years of publishing experience to the author platform, is the author of Show Me About Book Publishing, Creating and Develping Yur Authr and Bk Platfrms and co-author of The Tango of Authoring and Publishing. She's authored 30 books (many award-winning); 18 with traditional publishers and 12 with her own imprint, Mile High Press, Ltd.

As a publisher, she's published several books by Colorado authors; is a media personality; Founder and CEO of AuthorU (niversity)--which started as a Meetup group and is designed for the serious author who wants to be seriously successful (www.AuthorU.org); known as The Book Shepherd, where she works closely with authors in the development and publishing of their books (www.TheBookShepherd); and has been the past president of several author and publishing groups. Each May, she hosts the AuthorU Extravaganza.
