St. Patrick's Day Potluck Dinner & Social

Sexy St. Paddy’s Day Social – the wearing of the green could well become the wearing of the grin when you visit GAAMC’s St. Paddy’s Day events!  March is sex month and a little green here and a little green there goes a very long way!

We'll open the doors to the Terrace Room approximately 8:00 PM and share a hot dinner buffet of traditional and atypical Irish fare as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Each guest is asked to bring and entree, side dish or dessert item to share (6 - 8 servings is plenty.)

The menu keeps growing!  This is what we far:

Corned Beef & Cabbage
Irish Lamb Stew
Shepherd's Pie
Potatoes and Carrots
Irish Soda Bread
Spinach Salad and Tossed Salad
Fresh Fruit Salad
Green Cupcakes, Cakes, Pies

Please RSVP and let us know what you plan to bring.  Also, please let us know if you are available to lend a hand setting up the tables and chairs, or even help with clean-up/breakdown of the room.

VJ Andy has already dipped into the video pot o'gold to harvest an assortment of traditional and contemporary Irish music videos, an informational short film or two, and several other goodies...even a few naughty ones.

The festivities get underway right after Open Talk.  Each week at 7:00 PM we host a discussion on a topic suggested/selected by members and guests.  This week's facilitator will be Liz Slicer!

Doors open every Monday at 6:30 PM.  We are a 501-c-3 charitable organization that survives solely on donations from members and guests.  We ask that members donate $4 and non-members donate $6 each week, to help pay the rent and other expenses.  No one will be turned away if they are unable or unwilling to pay this voluntary door donation.

This event was an unmitigated success! Special thanks to all who brought food, to Liz for facilitating a very Irish "Open Talk", and to Andy for his wonderful videos of all things Irish! Definitely a 5-star event!

What a great convo in Open Talk followed by an abundance of food, great Irish music and videos ranging from Riverdance to the Irish Rovers to Mary Black and more - and who knew?! Chris DeBurgh is Irish!

Tonight we were friends of Dorothy "Gael" and I had a fabulous time!

I'll trade you the Quinoa Vegetable Soup recipe for the Irish Potato recipe!

What a super evening! Got to see some old friends we haven't seen in a while, enjoyed a WONDERFUL buffet of Irish and almost Irish treats. We stayed until nearly midnight playing music videos. SPECIAL THANKS to John and Mickey for being the hosts with the most!

Hope you'll bring your brightest green (or orange) outfit to add to the festivities, as well as your appetite, your (Irish) wit , and your spirit! A good time is sure to be had by all!

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
