Lean, Mean UX: What mindset you need to develop products that people desire?

We are happy to invite you to an interesting lecture by Tomer Sharon, Senior Search UX Researcher in Google New York.

This lecture is targeted at startup developers, product managers, and others, as well as designers. Many entrepreneurs start companies based on their personal experience that made them realize there's a problem waiting to be solved with their solution. They then tend to face the technological challenge and focus on perfectly executing the wrong plan. This talk will review seven concepts that demonstrate lean and mean UX: mindsets that would make or break your approach to your customers, product, and plan to rule the world. We will focus on one of the more important concepts of understanding the relationship between attitude and behavior in customer development.

I am interested in lean ux vs lean startup. That is, you have this great circular customer discovery process of iteratively pinpointing problem and validating solutions. But where and how is the best way to integrate lean ux into this process?

I'd prefer the slides. Instead of looking at 2 hours, you can figure out more or less from the slides. If you need to ask, there are the contact details at the end.

    Hi Tomer,
I'd be great if you could talk a bit about the process of testing different UX assumptions in Google and point to literature at that regards.
Are there any public guidelines/best practices for UX design on mobile or web (except of the Android/iOS/etc guidelines)?
    Thanks, Dario

    January 9, 2013

    • Tomer S.

I'll discuss testing assumptions in general and will point to literature.

Can you please give special attention to mobile UX?

      1 · January 9, 2013

    • Tomer S.

This presentation is about the mindset you need to have to develop products people desire. I will not discuss mobile UX design.
