GDG Toronto: September to Remember Meetup

  • Sep 18, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • Symbility Intersect HQ

We are getting ready to roll with our first post-GoogleIO Meetup at the new home of GDG Toronto, and we are putting together a hardcore lineup for Toronto's Google Developers and Enthusiasts -

Our Special Guests for the evening will include:

Christian Sadilek and Jonathan Fuerth, contributers to Open Source initiatives with the Google Web Toolkit, and members of the Errai team (http://errai-blog.blogspot.com/) at Red Hat (http://www.redhat.com/) will be dropping by to do a session:

"Taming the Spaghetti: Rich Web Applications with Errai"

During the talk, Jonathan and Christian will cover:

  • some words about why we've created "yet another" Java webapp framework
  • an outline of how to set up an Errai project
  • code examples that explain the major features in isolation
  • a live coding demo that ties everything together
  • some discussion about the underlying technologies

Greg Carron and Matthew Patience, of BNOTIONS will be presenting a quick session:

"Get your Google Drive on: Taking a look at the SDK and how to implement Drive in your Android apps"

Stay tuned for further updates for this month's session -

Good, and I was especially impressed by the Errai presentation - it's something I might use in the future!

Speakers were great. Will check out Errai! Google Drive presentation was not bad. Would be more educational had I not already gone to Google I/O this year.

Just wanted to thank those that changed their RSVP if they couldn't attend - it opened up some spots for those on the waiting list :)
