This is an 8 week course, meeting twice a month.
This is a review course for 7th-9th graders that will cover the 8th grade STAR history test subjects. The fall semester (8 weeks) will cover Ancient Civilizations, Late Antiquity/Middle Ages, Renaissance, & the Reformation. The spring semester will cover the US Constitution, Early US Republic, Civil War and its Aftermath. Mr. Coop is HQT with Sky Mountain.
8th Grade History Review
Ages: 12+ years
Wednesdays, twice monthly; 3:30pm-5pm
8 weeks: 9/11, 9/25, 10/9, 10/23, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4, 12/18
$200/student/8 weeks, may be paid monthly
Location: School News office, 225 Main St., Seal Beach (behind Nick's Deli; go through Brita's Garden)

Instructor: Mr. David Coop earned a Masters in Education from CSULB. His 30-year teaching career includes 20 years teaching Advanced Placement (AP) US History and 15 years teaching an International Baccalaureate course on European History. He has been a favorite history teacher at Jordan High School for many years.
This is a drop-off class, but as always, parents are invited to stay and observe.
To sign up one child, please RSVP as yourself; to sign up two children, RSVP +1 guest, etc.
If you are not using charter school funds, feel free to pay online or bring payment to the first day of class.
