Turn your drawings into animation!
Students will learn the fundamentals of developing cartoon characters and creating a storyboard with these characters -- this is the beginning of a cartoon. They will create an animatic (filmed) storyboard, which is the first step in the process of any major animated film. The class introduces the participants to basic digital cartooning software, basic animatic techniques in filmmaking, character design and some of the fundamentals of comic storytelling. All work is original to the participants and the copyrights belong to the creators.

Ages: 7-12 years
Mondays, 12:30pm-2:30pm
6 sessions: 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/27, 3/3 (no class on 2/20)
Cost: $100/student

If you are not using charter school funds, please bring payment to the first day of class.
To sign up one child, RSVP as yourself. To sign up two children, RSVP +1, etc.
This is a drop off class if parent and child are comfortable. As always, parents are welcome to stay and observe.
