It's not too late to join us as we team with "Spanish For Kids and More" to bring foreign language to gee!

Your child will have fun learning a second language and related culture in this highly interactive class.  Kids will learn basic greetings, numbers, alphabet, and fundamental sentence usage through innovative teaching, magical music, and awesome art!

Spanish: Las Estrellas

Ages: 6-9 years

Mondays, 11am-Noon

4 weeks: 2/27, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19

Cost: $65/student ($12 materials fee if you haven't purchased notebook)

Minimum number of students: 5 - This class is a go! (crc 2/20/12)

Instructor: Ms. Amy Berger

After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and one in International Development Studies, Ms. Berger returned to our nation's capitol to intern at The Brookings Institution U.S./ Mexico Division, and the Library of Congress, Congressional Research Service/Latin American Division. She then returned to Los Angeles to continue exploring her interest in the Latino culture via work with The East Los Angeles Community Union (TELACU) in Monterey Park, California. 

Upon completion of her studies at M.I.T., Ms. Berger taught French and Spanish to adult clients at Berlitz Corporation in Los Angeles.  She has also traveled to, and appreciated the history and culture of Mexico, Spain and Costa Rica. Ms. Berger holds a teaching credential from California State University Dominguez Hills; she has taught a variety of subjects at private elementary schools, community college and Southern California Adult Schools over the past 10 years. Amy Berger started Spanish for Kids and More! at her well-loved dining room table.  She wanted her 10 year old daughter, Zoe, and Zoe’s peers to gain access to the rich, beautiful Hispanic culture and learn the Spanish language. To sign up one child, RSVP as yourself; to sign up two children, RSVP +1, etc.

This is a drop-off class if child and parent are comfortable.  Parents are always invited to stay and observe.
