Join us for a year of Physical Science for middle schoolers!

This course is designed to serve as a solid foundation for the study of
the Physical Sciences. Topics to be investigated are phases of matter, force and motion, work, simple machines, conservation and transformation of energy, heat, waves, sound, light, electricity and magnetism.
The role of the student in this course is to develop inquiry and problem solving skills
within the context of scientific investigation. Students will apply what they learn to everyday
situations by conducting investigations and formulating and testing their own hypotheses.

Instructor: Kathleen Duncan is a homeschool teacher with over nine years' experience.  She was homeschooled herself from kindergarten all the way through twelfth grade and truly loved it.  She has an enormous amount of respect for the homeschooling community and is honored to be a part of it.  Kathleen attended California State University Fullerton, earning a bachelor's degree magna cum laude.  Her initial plan was to teach public high school, but by then she was already working with homeschoolers and was hooked.  She now works with students of all ages and in nearly every subject, both one on one and in class settings.

This is a drop-off class, but as always, parents are invited to stay and observe.

To sign up one child, please RSVP as yourself; to sign up two children, RSVP +1 guest, etc.

If you are not using Sky Mountain funds, please bring payment to the first day of class or pay online.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you!

Hello Beth, our max is 12, however, the teacher may allow more students. The teacher hands out the assignments ahead of time, so your son can do the reading, if any. I will find out what they will be doing that week. So far, outside work has only involved reading.

I'm interested in this class for my son. Is there a max number of students? We will be out of town on 11/9. What issues would he run into missing that class? Is there work outside of the class time?

    Thank you!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
