I respect all styles of photography and enjoy shooting several but people are my passion, whether it be sports, babies, families, models, events. I love the creative collaboration of several different artist coming together to work on a fashion shoot especially when it is for publication submissions or print.
I started with Canon and I now use Nikon. They are both great cameras along with several other brands. I ask this question ONLY to have a better idea of what trigger/flash brands we might need for some events.
I currently use a 3 speedlight setup and a 3 strobe (Paul C. Buff Einsteins) all controlled via Pocketwizads (Flex/Mini/AC3/MC2). This allows me to scale from 1 light all the way to 6 lights, all controlled from my camera whether I'm in the studio or on location (I use 3 battery packs for my Einsteins).
A group for local photographers, models, makeup artists, hair designers, and stylists of all skill levels to come together for workshops, events, learning, and having fun. A group focusing on using off camera flash both in the studio and on location. A group to network with other artists (models, hair designers, makeup artists, stylists). A group that is affiliated with relevant helpful businesses, like PROCAM, our wonderful sponsor, in Livonia. Most of all a group that is about sharing, being supportive, and having fun. Egos are to be left at the door. Welcome! Gary G&L Collins Photography www.facebook.com/glcollinsphotography
I run a growing photography business that shoots out of Livonia, Detroit, and Ann Arbor. I also work a day job in the Automotive supplier world (sales/engineering). I enjoy learning, teaching, and being around friendly, positive, creative people.
