Come join us to learn how to use Node.js to offload complex or asynchronous tasks to worker/event-based processes. During the session we will:

Review options for offloading processes into workers that run on a schedule or based on an event trigger.

Build a small worker application, deploy it to the cloud, and put it on a schedule to run.

Put together a simple application that can respond to events to process sync/async tasks without running actual servers.
If you would like to follow along please bring your laptop and complete the following so you are ready to go:

Install the IronWorker CLI, requires Ruby 1.9+ (gem install iron_worker_ng)

Create a free iron.io account.

If you want to follow along during the AWS portion please have your AWS account created as well.
