About GROC Genesee Regional Off-Road Cyclists

" GROC’s mission is to be an inclusive community designing, building, riding and maintaining sustainable shared-use trails."

GROC is an IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) Affiliated Club with over 250 Members

GROC also runs the Local Chapter of the IMBA National Mountain Bike Patrol

This group is dedicated to the education and recruitment of volunteers who want to build sustainable shared-use trails in their local area.

GROC currently has several parks that we act as stewards for the local Parks departments.

  • Tyron Park in Rochester NY
  • West Bay Park in Rochester NY

What is sustainable shared-use Trail?
IMBA has developed standards that are being used world wide to create sustainable trail. The basic idea is to create trail that does not cause excessive damage to the environmental and is enjoyable for many user groups.
