If you're an unemployed professional and have nothing to do during the day, this group is for you.
Since you can only send out your resume for about two hours every day, there are 22 hours left that can be filled with activities that will expose you to things this great city has to offer.
This site is for the person who wants to get up on a random weekday and take field trips to things that are free, or free-ish, or where the gain will be greater than the cost of the activity. So are you interested in day hikes, urban exploration, biking, noon bowling, hitting those 2pm happy hours no one can ever go to? or you have some better ideas? I'm open to suggestions.
This group is for leaving the stress of job hunting at home and enjoying your freedom!

Our next MeetupPioneer Courthouse Square Xmas Tree lighting ceremony
The Xmas tree at Pioneer place will be lit at 5:30, so let's meet at 5:00 to get a good viewing spot.
The 57-foot Colorado Blue Spruce was donated by John Plante, of Portland.
The tree will be decorated with 1,000 LED lights, donated by Efficiency Maine.
On the day after Thanksgiving, Portlanders will gather at the Square to celebrate the official start of the season by lighting the spectacular 75ft Tree. Read more
