Embarcadero (SF) to Larkspur via Paradise Drive Level D ride

We'll push off at 9:00am sharp. Plan to arrive by 8:45am.

Join the Gals for an enjoyable, easy-going ride along Embarcadero in San Francisco over the GG Bridge, around the Tiburon Loop and on to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal via Paradise Drive! The ride ends at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. We'll show you a route, provide tips for riding, and have a relaxing ride.

Level: D

Distance: About 35 miles. About 2,000 feet of climbing.

Start: Meet on the sidewalk in front of the middle section of the SF Ferry Building by the Embarcadero. (Look for the Gals with Gears banner)

End: Larkspur Ferry Terminal. We will take the Larkspur ferry back to SF Ferry Building. (After rest and refueling at Marin Marketplace. There are refreshments and food available to purchase on the ferry too.) Ferries depart Larkspur for San Francisco at 1:40 pm and 4:45 pm. One-way adult fare is $10.50 or $7 with your Clipper Card.

• We ride at a relaxed pace and won't leave anyone behind.

• RSVP required. Helmet, working bicycle, and basic riding skills required.

(Not had your bicycle out in a very long while? Please have it checked over by a bike mechanic to be sure it is safe and reliable.)

• We'll ride on the road with and without a bike lane, and multiuse paths.

• We urge Gals to carry personal identification and emergency contact information.

• Rain cancels. Will send a message via Meetup if we cancel to those who RSVP for this ride.

• Bring your questions -- Anything you want to know about biking? No question is too basic -- probably other Gals will have the same question!
