Game Night II: The Return

  • May 27, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Come meet fellow game developers, artists, and other magicians.

If you have a game to demo, art to show, or something else you'd like to display, contact Simon (the organizer) and have your screen shot added to this meetup page

Scroll down - aaaalll the way to see everything that will be on display:

McDroid - A sentimental robot heals a planet, helped by an existentialist shuttle and talking laser turrets

TAO - A videogame controller/exerciser where your muscle strength controls your avatar. A second chance to try it if you didn't get to at the April 1st meetup!

A trifecta of Evil Overlord games
2 of these were unable to make the last meetup, so this time we're expecting all 3:

Evil Master Overlord is a defense strategy game with a unique combination of dungeon/tower defense and puzzle mechanics and a tongue-in-cheek style of humor.

Undead Overlord - the world's tastiest Zombie Dominion RTS

Dungeon Colony is a 2D fantasy real-time strategy game in which you take control over a Dungeon Lord and his loyal Minions

Hero - In a world under attack, one man rises to face his enemies who threaten the world. The choices you make will either save your people or destroy them. What will you choose?

Puzzle Raiders - Match your way through over 80 levels filled with temples, mummies, and epic treasures!

Iris Weissman - 2D casual mobile games artist

Hannah McGill creates vector art, from promotional splash and title pages, to game-ready 2D rigs.

Motion Math: Pizza!  A mini-sim about profit and extra cheese.

Moth to a Flame Guide a moth through an urban environment collecting nectar and avoiding lights.

dood LE app is the only one you need for creating sketches, doodles, drawings, and notes. This app is FAST, FUN and EASY to use!

KotoBox (William) - Composing and remixing music in orchestral libraries for fun

Dungeon Hearts: Underworld fuses board game, CCG, and roguelike elements to create a game of strategy and exploration with a twist of JRPG

Ethereal - the software that lets you paint with your fingers in the air.

The Barbarian - A Top-Down Non-Linear Story Based RPG Built for Mobile, Desktops & Consoles.  You're the Barbarian and there's a Necromancer that needs to be defeated.

Retrobooster - Battle evil at the edge of space

Rube Works: The Official Rube Goldberg Invention Game features Rube’s cartoons, contraptions, and irreverent humor and combines the puzzle genre with graphic adventure-style slapstick humor and creative problem solving. Available for mobile and desktop.

Hey guys, noob here! I am a backed serial entrepreneur looking for a couple strong game developers/designers to create a mobile game with full 3D character animation and integration with multiple APIs. App will be supported by a very well-known brand (to be disclosed) and will have a very strong marketing push. Looking for great talent. Please email me at [masked]. Also, feel free to connect at

    Hey hey hey!

I hope everyone is doing well! On Tue, June 24th, I'm organizing a talk in SF about the business side of launching an indie game (A Wizard's Lizard - out June 16th on Steam!). Here's the eventbrite link I know this is unrelated to the last meetup but I thought it may be of appeal to some in the group. We'd love to have you join so come check it out!

Thank you all for a great event! I have uploaded the photos from Tuesday. If anyone would like the .raw image files for your marketing efforts, please don't hesitate to message me. If I have any other shots of your games, I'll gladly send those to you as well.

I'm going to try to make it out there! I'm a YouTuber who promotes indie games and the devs behind them!

I'm not listed, but I've submitted my image / info a while ago. I'll be demoing my game "Barbarian", an open world action RPG (think Hack & Slash but with strategy instead of button spamming). <--- alpha trailer (looks different now, but what can you do?)

    • Simon A.

Hi Andrew...sorry but we must have missed seeing your email with your game details in it - if you would like to send them again to [masked], I'll put them up

Looking forward to this as many of the projects being demoed are right up my alley as a gamer and general tech enthusiast. Will be there as part of the LCD Dreams entourage.

Thanks to the organizers for promoting my game, Moth to a Flame!

Just some FYI, but I am still looking for artists. We can negotiate a revenue share/equity model. I've been talking to investors and my company/game has value. Nothing is finalized, yet, but if you like the idea, feel free to approach me or even message me.

I will have more information about this and other things surrounding Moth to a Flame at the meetup. :-)

I will be showcasing my game "Hero" there as well. in the meantime here is the trailer I just released today for it! Enjoy!
